Bringing Baby Home
a gottman workshop for expectant and new parents
Becoming a parent is one of life’s greatest joys—and biggest transitions. Research shows that 67% of couples experience a drop in relationship satisfaction after a baby arrives, often leading to more conflict, less intimacy, and greater stress. The good news? You can prepare together.
Bringing Baby Home is a research-based workshop from The Gottman Institute, designed to help couples stay calm, confident, and connected as they build their new family.
In this relaxed, two-day experience, you and your partner will learn practical tools to:
Strengthen your friendship and communication
Create equality in parenting and problem-solving
Stay emotionally connected through the challenges of early parenthood
Support your baby’s emotional and intellectual development
Couples who participate in this workshop report greater relationship satisfaction, more cooperative co-parenting, and even happier, more engaged babies. The class is ideal for couples who are pregnant or parenting a child under age 3.
What You’ll Gain
By the end of the 12-hour workshop, you’ll understand what to expect during the transition to parenthood, learn how to strengthen intimacy and manage conflict, and know how to spot and support each other through postpartum stress or mood changes. Most importantly, you’ll walk away with rituals of connection that can last a lifetime.
